Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student participation in PMR activities on the formation of social skills at SMA Negeri 21 Palembang. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study amounted to 60 students. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with an error rate of 5%, then the sample in this study became 48 students who were active in PMR organizations. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, questionnaires and interviews. Based on the research results, it shows that there is an effect of student participation in forming students social skills. This can be seen that students who actively participate in PMR activities are able to improve students' social skills. From the results of the questionnaire analysis of student participation in PMR activities, it is known that 31.0%, while the questionnaire on student social skills is known to be 33.8%.
