Abstract
This study aims to determine the effects composition the planting media cow manure fertilizer and husk on the growth and yield of caisim (Brassica juncea L.). This research was conducted at Timbangan, North Inderalaya, Ogan Ilir. It was carried out from August 2020 to October 2020. This researcdh used Tosakan variety caisim seeds. This study used a completely Randomized design (CRD) method with 10 levels, each level had 3 replications, threfore there are 30 units, each unit consisted of 3 plants. Total plants were 90 plants. The treatments were M1 (90% soil : 10% cow manure fertilizer), M2 (80% soil : 20% cow manure fertilizer), M3 (70% soil : 30% cow manure fertilizer), M4 (60% soil : 40% cow manure fertilizer), M5 (50% soil : 50 cow manure fertilizer), M6 (90% soil : 10% husk), M7 (80% soil : 20% husk), M8 (70% soil : 30% husk), M9 (60% soil : 40% husk), M10 (50% soil : 50% husk). The results showed that the treatment of M4 (60 soil : 40% cow manure fertilizer) was the best treatment for midrib height variable with an average of 40,08 cm, number of leaves with an average of 8,78, shoot fresh weight with average 124,41g, shoot dry weight with an average 2,80g, root wet weight with average 15,97 g, root dry weight with average 1,53 g. In this research composition cow manure fertilizer is a better composition than the husk composition, and it is also suggested to use the composition of the growing media in the M4 treatment for caiism plants in order to get good results.
