Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition among students who are members of BEM KM Sriwijaya University. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition. Participants in this study were 173 students who are members of BEM KM Sriwijaya University. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the critical thinking disposition scale which refers to the aspects of Facione, Giancarlo, Facione, and Gainen (1995) and the self-efficacy scale which refers to the dimensions of Loeb (2016). Analysis of research data using the Pearson's Product Moment correlation method using the SPSS 16.00 program.The results showed that there was a relationship between self-efficacy and critical thinking disposition among student members of BEM KM Sriwijaya University with a value of r = 0.562 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that self efficacy has a positive and significant relationship between critical thinking disposition. Thus the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.
