Abstract

Rice is a very important crop for Indonesian people because most Indonesian people make rice as a staple food. To find out how much rice farming has provided benefits for farmers, it can be seen from the analysis of the cost of goods sold. The purpose of this research is to (1) Gain knowledge about the condition of Bintaran Village rice farming; 2) Determine the cost of goods sold in Bintaran Village; (3) Knowing how much income rate and profit rate of rice farming in Bintaran Village, Air Salek District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Bintaran Village, Air Salek District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. Data retrieval is conducted from October to November 2020. The data used were primary data and secondary data from field observations and direct interviews with farmers. The sampling method used was a simple random sampling method with 30 farmers as respondents. The results showed that rice farming activities in this village are carried out twice a year. Planting season one starts from November to February. That rice farming activities consist of planting preparation, planting, fertilization, plant maintenance also harvest. The cost of goods sold of rice in Bintaran Village was 2 until 3 times smaller than the selling price at the farmer level. The real cost of goods sold and the cost of good sold should be in Bintaran Village are Rp1.055,- and Rp1.749,-, meanwhile, the average selling price is Rp4,438,-. The average income per hectare of rice farming in Bintaran Village is Rp16.608.678,- with R / C ratio 4,21, meanwhile, the average profit per hectare of rice farming in Bintaran Village is Rp13.201.512,- with R / C ratio 2,54, so it is concluded that rice farming in Bintaran Village, Air Salek District, is profitable to cultivated. BEP value of rice farming sales price in Bintaran Village is Rp1.749,- per kg. BEP of income is Rp4.460.753 per hectar. BEP of production volume is 1.005 kg per hectar, and BEP of land area is 0,20 hectar or 2.000 square meters. Key words: rice, basic price, profit.
