Abstract

This development aims to produce Smart Box Learning Media products on the theme of the Beauty of Diversity in My Country in Class IV SD Negeri 159 Palembang, totaling 30 students (11 female students and 19 male students). Research using the Borg and Gall development model consists of potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, revisions, and product testing. Data collection techniques used expert validation sheets and questionnaires. Expert testing is done by linguists and design experts. The results obtained were in accordance with thematic learning and the characteristics of students. Phase I was carried out to determine the quality of the smart box learning media with a total of 3 students and the results were very good with an average of 93.1. Phase II was carried out to determine the quality of the smart box learning media with a total of 6 students and the results were very good with an average of 94.6. So it can be concluded that the development of smart box learning media on the theme of the Beauty of Diversity in My Country in Class IV SD Negeri 159 Palembang which was developed in accordance with the characteristics of students and can help students get better learning.
