Abstract

Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa merupakan salah satu kelompok masyarakat yang rentan untuk mengalami stress. Salah satu dampak negatif stress yaitu perilaku makan berlebih untuk meredakan emosi negatif. Perilaku ini disebut emotional eating. Pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir, angka prevalensi stres cukup tinggi. Tingkat stres yang tinggi berpotensi untuk menimbulkan perilaku emotional eating. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan stres terhadap perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sriwijaya. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sriwijaya pada bulan Januari 2021. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 121 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sriwijaya tahun 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner PSS untuk mengetahui tingkat stres mahasiswa dan DEBQ untuk mengetahui perilaku emotional eating. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji Chi-square untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat stres dengan perilaku emotional eating (p=0,018). Tingkat stres pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sriwijaya yaitu 15,7% stres ringan, 67,8% stres sedang, dan 16,5% stres berat. Prevalensi perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sriwijaya yaitu 61,2%. Simpulan: Tingkat stres mahasiswa merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Sriwijaya.
