Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan Bank Muamalat dengan menggunakan pendekatan EVA dan bagaimana memperbaiki kinerja keuangan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kinerja keuangan perusahaan dengan pendekatan EVA memberikan nilai tambah ekonomis bagi perusahaan dan para penanam modal. Hal ini ditunjukkan nilai EVA yang positif selama tahun 2004-2006. Walaupun pada tahun 2002 dan 2003 menghasilkan nilai negatif yang disebabkan meningkatnya Capital Charges perusahaan. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, penulis menyarankan agar perusahaan mengoptimalkan proporsi modal perusahaan agar mencapai struktur modal optimal dan melakukan efisiensi terutama dalam menekan biaya operasional perusahaan serta meningkatkan pendapatn jual beli dan bagi hasil guna memperoleh laba yang lebih optimal.
