Abstract

Abstract This study aims (1) Analyzing the factors that influence maize productivity in Banyu Urip Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, (2) Analyzing the efficiency of the use of production inputs in corn farming in Banyu Urip Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, and (3) Calculating the income of corn farming in Banyu Urip Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Banyu Urip Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. The location selection was done purposively or deliberately. Data collection was carried out from October to November 2020. The research method used in this study was the survey method. The sampling method used was simple random sampling method with 30 farmers as respondents. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that (1) the factors that had a significant effect on maize productivity in Banyu Urip Village were the use of urea, TSP and NPK fertilizers, while those that did not significantly influence were the dosage of seeds, pesticides, and the amount of labor. 2) The efficiency of production input in Banyu Urip Village in terms of price for the dosage of seed use and the number of workers is efficient, while the doses of urea, TSP fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and pesticides are not efficient. (3) The income of corn farming in Banyu Urip Village was Rp14.313.651 per hectare per year while the income per area per year is Rp26,846,065 with an area of 0.5 hectares to 3 hectares.
