Abstract

Soufian Abdullah Herian. The Impact of the Construction of Runway Soekarno Hatta Airport Toward the Socio Economic Conditions of Rice Farmer in Bojong Renged Village Teluk Naga District Banten (supervised by ANDI MULYANA and NURILLA ELYSA PUTRI). This research was conducted to know (1) The impact of the conversion from agricultural land into Soekarno Hatta Airport's airstrip on the social conditions of rice farmers in Bojong Renged Village (2) The income of rice farmers after being affected by the land conversion (3) The level of welfare of rice farmers after the land conversion. The method used in this research was the survey method (Survey Method). This sampling method was carried out with the Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling method. The number of samples taken in the study in Bojong Renged Village was 30 farmer households. The social impact by the conversion of agricultural land because of the construction of Soekarno Hatta Airport's Airstrip caused the less interaction in the community and the social conflicts between the citizens and the government due to the differences in the compensation, the land acquisition processes and the environmental factors such as floods, drought, water quality, and a lot of household plastic waste in the riverbank areas. As a result of the economic impact by the land conversion, the average of the household income was IDR 22,591,414.00 / year with the average KHL standard of IDR 84,637,611.00 / year in converted rice farmers, IDR 27,837,620.00 / year with the average KHL standard of IDR 108,831,031.00 in the rice farmers who did not convert their land and IDR 47,760,000.00 / year with an average KHL standard of IDR 81,093,000 in the rice farmers who switched their professions. The household income was less than the value of the standard living costs in all of the categories of the rice farmers, whose land was converted, whose land was not converted their land, and had changed their professions.
