Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Model Type Write Around on the ability to write one-act drama text in class VIII MTs Darul Falah Tanjung Bulan Indralaya. This study used a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experimental Research). This study consisted of two research samples, namely class VIII.A with a total of 30 students as an experimental class who were given treatment using the Write Around Examp method and a control class namely class VIII.B with a total of 30 students who were given lessons using the direct learning method ( Direct Instruction). The data processing technique used test techniques and processed data using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study showed that there was a difference in the average value between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class obtained an average value of 58.20 in the pre-test and an average value of the final test which is 84.60. In the control class, the average value of the pre-test is 51.60 and the average value of the final test is 72.23. From the t-test results show that the value with df (58) with a significance level of 95% t count (9.324)> t table (2.001) then Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Write Around type cooperative model on the ability to write one-act drama text in class VIII MTs Darul Falah Indralaya.
