Abstract

This study was conducted to: (1) To analyze the financial feasibility of the implementation of peat restoration efforts based on horticulture in Kedaton Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) To measure the perceptions of assisted farmers in Kelurahan Kedaton, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency on the implementation of peat restoration and knowing whether they are interested in managing their land using horticulture-based peat restoration methods/This quantitative study was done in the form of a survey, in which questionnaires were distributed to collect data from 32 assisted farmer. The data were in the forms of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study: 1) indicate that the horticulture-based peat restoration project is feasible with NPV value 290.015.984; IRR 86%; Net B /C 4,20; Gross B/C 1,80; Payback Period 2,91 years, and 2) the assisted farmers in Kelurahan Kedaton OKI are interested managing their land with horticulture-based peat restoration.
