Abstract
Indonesian populations continues to grow, so them need animal protein will increase. Broiler chicken meat is one of source of animal protein with hight quality and low prices. Effors to produce quality of chicken meat require feed that has nutrient and good digestibility. One of the efforts to increase digestibility is the addition of organic acids. This study aims to improve the performance of broiler chickens by addition of liquid organic acid from fermentation of pineapple waste and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves in drinking water. This research was conducted from September to October 2019 in the laboratory field of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment, namely: (P1) without addition organic acids (P2 ) Addition 5% organic acid in drinking water, (P3) Addition 10% organic acid in drinking water, (P4) Addition 15% organic in drinking water. The parameters observed were feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. The result showed that the of liquid organic acid from the fermentation of pineapple waste and indigofera zollingeriana leaves in drinking water had a significant effection (P<0.05) feed comsumption and body weight gain but had no significant effect on feed conversion. Keywords: Organic Acid, Broiler Chicken, Indigofera, Pineapple Waste and Performa.
