Abstract
This study aims to predict population growth and sheep harvesting policies. The data in this study are in the form of secondary data, namely sheep data in New Zealand with fertility levels, survival rates, maximum age of sheep, and the initial population of sheep. The steps taken in this study include: describing the data, calculating for an even harvesting policy, calculating the harvesting policy for the youngest age group, and analyzing the results. In this study. The results showed that the growth rate of the sheep population in New Zealand tended to increase every year with an eigen value of 1.0929, with an even harvesting policy as many as 24 heads each year and a harvesting policy for the youngest age class was obtained by 5 heads each year.
