Abstract

The research location is in the Cigudeg area, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. The research area has variations in the lithology of sedimentary rocks from the Bojongmanik Formation, one of which is limestone. The limestone of the Bojongmanik Formation occupies about 65% of the research location with a variety of macroscopic features so that it needs further investigation. This study aims to obtain microfasies with the results of depositional facies and limestone diagenesis processes to obtain the limestone diagenetic environment of the Bojongmanik Formation. The research method used was in the form of outcrop observations, namely data collection and field interpretation, petrographic observations by paying attention to the composition and relationships between components, analysis and identification of microfasies based on petrographic results and diagenetic interpretation through regional geological relationships and petrographic observation results. The results of the study were depositional facies on covered carbonate exposure and diagenesis of limestone in the study area. Based on Wilson's (1975) exposure model, the limestone deposition facies in the Cigudeg area consist of: FZ 7: Platform Interior-Open Marine and FZ 8: Platfomr Interior-Restricted. While the diagenetic process is in the diagenetic environment of marine phreatic, burial, phreatic meteors, and meteoric vadose.
