Abstract

The purpose of research to know the impact of applying HOTS-oriented learning in PPKn of the student’s character values in SMAN 1 Indralaya. Research uses Pre-Experimental design of one-group pretest-posttest. Population was all science class X and XII totaling 278 people, science class 3 samples totaling 29 people with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techiques using documented, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis techiques using simple linear regression test assisted by SPSS. Based on data analysis and discussion, it was concluded that there was a significant impact of applying HOTS-oriented learning in PPKn of the student’s character value in SMAN 1 Indralaya This can be seen based on the results of the N-gain score test of 0.4765 in the medium category, at least 0.37 and a maximum of 0.55 with a positive influence level, while the hypothesis test gets a significant value, namely Sig. > α (0.359> 0.05) so that they do not accept Ha and reject H0.
