Abstract

This study aims to analyze the government spending and the quantity of labor on economic growth in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. The estimation method used pooling regression with formulating the economics growth model of the Cobb-Douglas production function and the addition of the autoregressive (AR) model. The results show that government spending (K) has a positive relationship and has a significant effect on alpha (α) of 10 percent on economic growth with an influence coefficient of 0.21, which means that if government spending increases by 1 percent, economic growth will increase by 0.21 percent. . The labor variable (L) has a positive but not significant relationship to economic growth with an influence coefficient of 0.89 which means that if the labor increases by 1 percent, economic growth will increase by 0.89 percent. The conclusions in this study indicated that the labor variable is more efficient/productive in influencing economic growth even though the population is still in elementary school and below and still working in the agricultural sector.
