Abstract

This thesis analyzes Greenpeace's roles in encouraging sustainable palm oil industry especially in environmental aspects in Indonesia through the palm oil campaign 2018 Greenpeace's palm oil campaign aims to encourage producers, consumers and the Indonesian state to develop a sustainable palm oil industry so that it can inhibit climate change. This research was analyzed using the concept of the Transnational Advocacy. Network (TAN) and the concept of Sustainable Development. The method used was descriptive qualitative with secondary data sources from books, articles, journals, theses, reports, and websites. The results show that in carrying out its role in promoting a sustainable palm oil industry, Greenpeace has succeeded in influencing Indonesian government policies to fix and improve governance of the palm oil industry and influencing Wilmar and CGF policies in devaping sustainable palm oil industry in environmental and social aspects. .
