Abstract
The isolation of flavonoid from Ludwigia leptocarpa leaves and its cytotoxic assay on murine leukemia P-388 cells had been done. The isolation was conducted by maceration method using methanol as the solvent, followed by fracination using n-heksana and ethyl acetate. Separation and purification of ethyl acetate fraction using several techniques of chromatographic. The isolated compound was a yellow solid (14,5 mg) with melting point 285 oC (decomposed). Based on spectral data including UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and compared with a reference suggested that the isolated compound was flavonoid type flavonol namely quercetine. This compound was active on cytotoxic assay against murine leukemia P-388 cells with IC50 3,98 μg/mL.
