Abstract

Pagar Alam City is located at the foot of Mount Dempo, South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Because its location in the mountainous area, it makes the atmosphere in the city was very cool and stores many natural attractions that have its own beauty for tourists to visit the city. The amount of ignorance of tourists about the locations of tourist destinations, the lack of resources about the locations of tourist destinations, and the wide area of Pagar Alam City that makes it difficult for tourists to determine the shortest route to tourist destinations in the city. In this study, author was developed a software to find the shortest route using Dijkstra algorithm in Pagar Alam City area. Dijkstra's algorithm calculates the shortest distance from the place of departure to the destination. The map used in this study is a map from the Google Maps API. The software can show the shortest route and provide information about the intended tourist attraction in the city. Keywords: Dijkstra Algorithm, Shortest Route, Google Maps
