Abstract

Along with the development of harvesting process technology it has evolved from the traditional way to the use of agricultural technology in an effort to increase the quality and quantity of production. One of those who have used technology when harvesting rice is in Village of Pagar Jati Kikim South District Lahat Regency. The objectives of this study: 1) Knowing the perceptions of rice farmers on thetechnology Combine Harvester in the Village of Pagar Jati Kikim South District Lahat Regency, 2) Analyze the factors that influence the perceptions of rice farmers on the use of the Combine Harvester in the Village of Pagar Jati Kikim South District Lahat Regency, and 3) Analyze the differences in income and labor outpouring of rice farmers before and after using the Combine Harvester in the Village of Pagar Jati Kikim South District Lahat Regency. Data collection was carried out in December 2020. The method used in this study was a survey method. This research sampling method using simple random method with the number of respondents namely 40 respondents. Data collected using primary data and secondary data. The results obtained from the research of rice farmers' perceptions of thetechnology Combine Harvester with a score of 37,65, there is a high category. Factors that have a significant effect on the use Combine Harvester farming areexperience, while the factors that do not influence are age, education level frequency of attending counseling and land area. The results of farmer income before and after using the Combine Harvester produce a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 ≤ 0,05 which means that the income of rice farmers before using the Combine Harvester is lower than after using the Combine Harvester. The result of the difference in labor output which results in a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 ≤ 0,05 means that the labor outpouring of rice farmers after using the Combine Harvester is lower than before using the Combine Harvester.
