Abstract

The Topic of this research is ”Musi Rawas Economic Sectors Analysis (LQ Coefficient Application)” In term of the topic, Analysis focus on Musi Rawas Regency which is a part of the South Sumatra Province. The aims of this research are : (a) To know and to analyze the results from sectors economy strategic in effort to develop the economy in Musi Rawas Regency; (b) To know the role of basic sectors and to create the gross regional development product in Musi Rawas Regency. The unit of analyzes method is Quantities approaches with uses of Location Quotient Analyzes (LQ) and Contribution ofbest sectors analysis. LQ calculation showed that the relatively potential economy sector and sub sector of Musi Rawas and become the important sectors that always give a value for economy of Musi Rawas for 1993-2004 were Agricultural sector (1.402) and Mining quarrying sector (1.322). The LQ .value of those sectors are bigger than one (LQ>1). Contribution of basic sectors with average 61,60 percent is bigger than non basis sectors with average 38,40 percent. With the contribution which is very dominant from those basic sectors the development of Musi Rawas Regency can be better. From this research have done, can be reference for academician to advance the study of a potential economy factors from one region and also for public decision makers heading to regional development which hopely directed and spread in the future.
