Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah terdapat perbedaan harga saham dan volume perdagangan saham sebelum dan sesudah stock split. Penelitian menggunakan harga saham penutupan sebagai proksi harga saham dan trading volume activity (TVA) sebagai proksi volume perdagangan saham. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian event study dan data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode jenuh yaitu dengan kriteria tertentu. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 18 perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara harga saham sebelum dan sesudah stock split. Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan TVA sebelum dan sesudah pengumuman stock split.
