Abstract

This research purpose is to know the elasticity of the district tax with the efficiency and effectively. The analyzed variables are growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) without gasoline to happen calculated as economic growth indicator and the district tax. The used data type is secondary which source from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of South Sumatera and Palembang, Dinas Pendapatan Daerah (DISPENDA) Palembang, Palembang City Government, and the books. This research used simple regression linear method of analyzing. The result of regression show beta coefficient equal to 1,047 % indicating that the district tax of Palembang have the character of elastic to economic growth. The district tax of Palembang City also work efficiently and is effective.
