Abstract

Analisis daya saing industri tekstil Indonesia ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keunggulan komparatif pada industri TPT di Indonesia, dengan menggunakan data tahun 1996-2003. Daya saing industri TPT diukur dengan melihat struktur biaya (ongkos) tenaga kerja dan bahan baku, kinerja nilai tambah dan efisiensi, indeks keunggulan komparatif RC A, serta kinerja nilai ekspor-impor. Berdasarkan analisis, terjadinya penambahan biaya tenaga ke f a dan bahan baku sebagai akibat dari terjadinya peningkatan jumlah produk (output) yang dihasilkan. Nilai tambah semakin meningkat tidak diiringi dengan peningkatan efisiensi dalam penggunaan kapasitas produksi, hal ini terlihat dari penurunan efisiensi yang terus mendekati nilai 1 (satu). Untuk keunggulan komparatif IRC A), RCA>1 terjadi pada komoditi tekstil tertentu, bahkan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan negara lain. Nilai RCA Indonesia untuk produk TPT secara umum semakin meningkat. Dilihat dari nilai dan volume ekspor TPT Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan, artinya permintaan produk TPT Indonesia masih banyak diminati oleh negara-negara lain di dunia dan jika melihat perbandingan antara nilai ekspor dan impor, Indonesia mengalami neraca positif atau surplus (X>M)
