Abstract

The final destination of monetary policy are to support economic growth, the balance of payment, and to control rate of inflation. The monetary policy will be reached if we can make the ideal inflation and interest rate. There are many things can cause interest rate will change, such as the value of risk, the transaction fee and inflation. This article will discuss how inflation affect interest rate. According to the result of simple regression and cross tabulation, inflation have the possitive effect to interest rate. If inflation became increase, interest rate will increase too, and if inflation became decrease, so do with interest rate. The final result according to the theory that used.
