Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influences of labor and investment of coal production at PT. Tambang Bukit Asam period 1994-2005. The analyzing of this research use the Cobb-Douglas Models. This research use secondary data obtained from PT. Tambang Bukit Asam and publication of authority institutions. The method of analyzing use the double logarithm natural. The result of this research indicated that Labor and investment have significantly effects to coal production at PT. Tambang Bukit Asam period 1994-2005. The R square (R2) value is 0,785. It means that 78,5 percent coal production effected by labor and investment. The economic scale of production seem decreasing return to scale condition. It seem that the addition of labor and investment for one unit will increase less than one unit (0,841) of coal production at PT. Tambang Bukit Asam period 1994-2005. This condition seem that coal production at PT. Tambang Bukit Asam period 1994-2005 have not reach efficiently production rate.
