Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan perubahan base money (uang inti) dan pengaruhnya terhadap jumlah uang beredar (M1) di Indonesia. Base money (uang inti) adalah utang otoritas moneter kepada masyarakat dan lembaga keuangan, yang dipengaruhi tagihan bersih pada pemerintah pusat (KG), tagihan bersih pada swasta dan perorangan (KP) dan aktiva luar negeri bersih (NFA). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder publikasi BPS dan Bank Indonesia, jurnal dan buku teks dari tahun 1983-2006. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil regresi menunjukkan bahwa base money (uang inti) berpengaruh terhadap M1 secara signifikan. Hal ini berarti bahwa peningkatan base money (uang inti) berpengaruh positif terhadap jumlah uang beredar (M1).
