Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance characterization of starter phase of Pegagan ducks. This research was conducted from August to September at the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted by observing the characteristics of Pegagan ducks in the starter phase by means of maintenance for 8 weeks. The material used was 200 unsexing Pegagan ducks. The research method used is descriptive statistical analysis and the resulting data is in the form of graphics. Descriptive statistical analysis was carried out on the size of concentration, namely the average value. The parameters observed were feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion. The results of this study were gotu kola ducks in the starter phase had ration consumption which tended to increase. The maximum point of growth acceleration occurred at the age of 3 weeks.
