Abstract

Game theory is a mathematical model used in situations of conflict or competition among various competing interests as competitors. The purpose of this research is to help decision making the right strategy so as to increase consumer interest and generate optimum profit for laptop manufacturer. The methods used in game theory are pure methods and mixed methods. The players are Acer, Asus, and Toshiba. The mixed methods that can be used are linear program and simplex method. The results of this study, laptop manufacturer who most attracts consumer interest is Acer, followed by Asus and Toshiba. The Strategies covered include price, design, spesification, brand, service, and warranty. The optimum strategy of pure strategy results done by Acer, Asus, and Toshiba is respectively service, design, and brand. While the optimal strategy of mixed strategy results for Acer is the price and service service, for Asus is warranty and design, and then the optimal strategy on Toshiba is brand and specification.
