Abstract

The aims of this research was to find possibility of using Gamal Leaves and Catfish Wastewater as organic nutrients for Green Mustard growth in hydroponic system. The study conducted from August to September 2020 in the Hydroponics House of the Agricultural Growth Department of the Sriwijaya University, South Sumatra Province. The study used 7 treatment there are A0 : AB mix 100% as control, A1 : Catfish wastewater (aerobically fermented), A2 : Catfish wastewater (anerobically fermented), A3 : Catfish wastewater + gamal (aerobically fermented), A4 : Catfish wastewater farming + gamal (anerobically fermented), A5 : Catfish wastewater + gamal (aerobically fermented) + AB mix 50% and A6 : Catfish wastewater + gamal (anerobically fermented) + AB mix 50%. The variables of the observation were plant height, leaves number, leaves greenness, root length, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight. The result of this study showed that organic fertilizer from gamal leaves and catfish wastewater were not able yet to replace AB mix nutrients for hydroponic growth medium on green mustard as seen in all variables observed. The control treatment provides the highest yield of green mustard and different significantly with other treatmens. However, organic fertilizer from gamal leaves and catfish wastewater combined with AB mix 50% gave the highest result than others treatments out of control treatment (AB mix 100%).
