Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) To measure the roles of husbands and wives in teaching coffe cultivation to children in Determining Lesung Batu Village, Lintang Kanan District, Empat Lawang Regency. (2) Analyzing the allocation of husband and wife working time in coffe cultivation Knowing in Lesung Batu Village, Lintang Kanan District, Empat Lawang Regency. And (3) Measure children`s perceptions of becoming farmers in Lesung Batu Village, Lintang Kanan District, Empat Lawang Regency. This research was conducted in Lesung Batu Village, Empat Lawang Regency from June to July 2020. The location was determined purposively, by survey method. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling method with 40 respondents from 539 farmers. Data obtained from direct interviews using questionnaires, in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data processing to answer the first objective uses the calculation of scores with indicators of the role of parents in guidng and the role of parents as motvators, to answer the second objective that s processed by tabulation and explaned descriptively wth indicators of educaton, children`s nterest, famly welfare.the role of husband and wife in teaching coffee cultivaton to children in Lesung Batu Village, Empat Lawang Regency was in the low criteria. In the allocation of coffee cultivation in Lesung Batu Village, Empat Lawang Regency on average there are more husbands than wives. The perception of children being farmers in the vllage of lesung batu is classified as low.
