Abstract

The purpose of the study was: Analyzing the difference in income of rubber farmers members and non-members, factors that influence the decision of rubber farmers to participate or not participate in the PMU, comparing the income of rubber farmers members and non-members with the level of welfare in PMU Sumber Rejeki Kepayang Village Lempuing District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The data used in this study are data from January 2020 to December 2020. The example withdrawal method used is proportional stratified random sampling with 24 UPPB member farmers and 16 non-UPPB member farmers. The results showed that the income of PMU member farmers was greater than 52,61 percent compared to the income of non-PMU farmers amounting to Rp10.129.927 per hectare per year. Calculation of t test on the income of rubber farming members and non-members of PMU Sumber Rejeki obtained the result that the income of farmers members of PMU is greater than the income of farmers instead of PMU members. The factors that encourage farmers to join the PMU are the quality of rubber, capital loans and the amount of production while the inhibitory factors are non-existent and unreal factors are farming experience and long education. The Component of Living Needs person in Kepayang Village amounted to Rp1.373.901/month. The income of PMU rubber farmers who are considered eligible is 16,7 percent while the other 83,3 percent is not viable. The income of rubber farmers who are not members of the PMU is considered worthy of 6,25 percent while the other 93,75 percent is not viable. The income of rubber farmers as a whole PMU members can only meet the level of walfare OKI regency of 63,63 percent of rubber income while rubber farmers are not members of PMU only able to meet the level of walfare OKI regency of 36,71 percent of rubber income.
