Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to describe how the Religious Social Service of the Syafa'atut Thulab Islamic Boarding School to the Village Community of Bakung Indralaya Utara Ogan Ilir. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative methods. This study had seven informants. Based on the results of research on the diversity of social services at the Syafa'atut Thulab Islamic boarding school, there are several problems that can become obstacles in social services, namely the provision of poor facilities in the implementation of religious social services. This religious social service of the Syafa'atut Thulab Islamic boarding school is an activity that is routinely held every year. There are three types of religious socio-religious services in this boarding school, the first is social religious service in the form of donating for orphans, the second is social religious service in the form of a grand recitation or better known as istighozah which is usually carried out in commemoration of Islamic holidays, and the third. Religious social services in the form of religious tourism which are carried out once a year. Religious tourism is a tourism activity around the island of Java to visit the graves of the Songo guardians. The goal is to introduce the public to the history of the entry of Islam to Indonesia, especially on the island of Java. Keywords: Religious Social Services, Islamic Boarding Schools.
