Abstract

Induction heating is a type of heater that uses electricity as its energy source. Induction heating used magnetic field to induct metal. So, It can be used as a metal melting furnance. The electric currents that swrnunding the magnetic field called eddy currents. The heating method used non-contcat heating that objects could be heated by ferromagnetic objects. It accompanied by Zero Voltage Switching Driver was an oscillation circuit than could produced high frequencies on the induction coil up to 250 MHz. So, that spesimens that becomes workloads In shorter temperature increased. In the heat energy principle was generated by an induction heater was different on each diameter size. A small diameter will cause a lower eddy current around the induction coi l. Therefore this study aimed to determine the energy efficiency of the induction heating in each specimen diameter.
