Abstract

One of the problems that often occurs in workers and also in employers is work accidents. Work accidents and occupational illnesses can occur in informal workers because the informal sector is generally still lacking oversight from the government and lack of awareness from the informal sector workers themselves. Welding workshop is one of the areas of work that is at risk of work accidents where data from the Ministry of Manpower said in 2018 there were 157,313 work accidents that occurred at work. Identification of hazards in the work environment is part of preparing measures for the occurrence of work accidents. One method to identify hazards is Job Safety Analysis or JSA which focuses on the relationship between workers, tasks, tools and the work environment. Based on the results of a preliminary survey at a welding workshop in North Indralaya Subdistrict it is known that there was a work accident at the time of cutting using grinding and also blistered skin due to exposure to sparks when welding. This research aims to carry out Job Safety Analysis welding process at welding workshop in North Indralaya Subdistrict. The research design used is qualitative method that is descriptive. The data collection of research was conducted using Hazard Ceklist, JSA Worksheet, interviews and observations. Determination of informants using purposive sampling with a total of four key informants and four informants. The results showed that the most danger at every stage in the welding process is physical danger. The conclusion of this study is that each stage in the welding process has potential hazards. The suggestion of this research is conducting K3 socialization to welders by welding workshop owners and related agencies on the importance of working safely
