Abstract

SMP PGRI 1 Palembang is one of the educational institutions that was established on January 5, 1968. SMP PGRI 1 Palembang already has accreditation A on September 30, 2018 - Now. Based on the results of the analysis and research conducted by the author at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang, the authors found an obstacle experienced by the school, namely obstacles in the payroll process and reporting of teacher and employee salary data both in terms of data security and report presentation. This research was conducted to build a salary application for teachers and employees at SMP PGRI 1 Palembang. The output of this application is a data report on honorary teachers and employees, salary lists, salary slips, and payroll reports. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The system used is the PHP programming language and MySQL database. Keywords: Payroll, PHP, MySQL
