Abstract

Investasi melalui pasar modal selain memberikan hasil, juga mengandung resiko. Besar kecilnya resiko di pasar modal sangat di pengaruhi oleh keadaan negara khususnya di bidang ekonomi, politik dan sosial. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat bunga SBI, nilai kurs dollar AS, dan tingkat inflasi berpengaruh terhadap naik turunnya Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa selama Januari 2005 sampai dengan Desember 2007 nilai kurs dollar AS dan Inflasi berhubungan secara signifikan dan memiliki hubungan yang negatif terhadap IHSG. Sedangkan, tingkat suku bunga SBI tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap IHSG. Hal ini dikarenakan pada saat terjadi kenaikan harga minyak dunia yang menyebabkan inflasi dari pertengahan 2005 sampai dengan pertengahan 2006 meningkat, nilai rupiah terhadap mata uang asing turun sehingga untuk 1$ diperlukan lebih dari Rp 9.000. Saat itu terjadi tingkat bunga SBI memiliki nilai lebih rendah daripada inflasi, hal inilah yang menyebabkan para investor tidak memindahkan jenis investasinya dari saham ke SBI. Karena itulah SBI tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap IHSG. Kata kunci: Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan, nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dollar AS, Inflasi, Tingkat bunga SBI
