Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of community empowerment that are carried out to find out what is done by the Online Waste Services Foundation as well as the obstacles faced by the Online Garbage Services Foundation in Timbangan Village, Ogan Ilir Regency in empowering the community by using the concept of community empowerment. The method used in this research is qualitative by being presented descriptively. Using primary data and secondary data in the research process. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation using triangulation of sources as a technique for checking the validity of the data. The data analysis technique used was data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusions and verification as the analysis technique used. From this research, the results obtained are knowing the form of community empowerment there are three, namely socialization about waste, waste banks, and training in waste management. As well as found the obstacles faced by online waste service foundations, namely the first internal problem is the difficulty in dividing time, and the lack of transportation, the second external obstacle is the attitude of the community that is still traditional, and paper waste management activities have been temporarily stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
