Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infections disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis treatment that takes a long time is very susceptible to result in pulmonary tuberculosis patients not completing their treatment. The aim of this study itself is to systematically identify the factors that influence the compliance of pulmonary tuberculosis patient’s treatment in Indonesia. The research method that is used is systematic review. The online database that is used are Google scholar, Garuda ristekdikti and Pubmed. The Keywords that is entered into databases include (Compliance OR Adherence) AND (Tuberculosuis OR Pulmonary Tuberculosis OR TB) AND Indonesia. From165 articles were selected after reviewing the title and abstract, there are only 40 articles were included based on inclusion criterias. The five articles were exluded after a quality assessment using the critical appraisal instrument from Joanna Briggs Institute, so there are 35 articles for this systematic review. The results of a review of research articles show that there is an correlation between knowledge, patient attitude, distance of home to health service facilities, family support, health workers, and PMO with the Compliance of pulmonary tuberculosis patient’s treatment in Indonesia. It can be concluded that of the 6 factors that influencing patient treatment compliance, there are two factors that have the same high proportion compared to other factors, namely the Supervision of Drug Swallowing (PMO) factor and the distance factor to health care facilities with a proportion of 100%. Meanwhile, the most analyzed factor was the knowledge factor, namely as many as 22 studies. It was expected that health service could maximize efforts to provide education about TB disease regularly, form TB peer educators, follow up to PMO and provide rewards to ensure that PMO plays an active role during the treatment period for TB patients and to strengthen PMO's commitment.
