Abstract

Abstract Means of public transportation are the needs of the community that continues to grow in accordance with the increasing standard of living. Based on the background and formulation of the problems that have been described, the objectives to be achieved in this study are "To find out the Management of Light Rail Transit Transportation in Palembang City. This research uses a qualitative method, type of research is descriptive research. This research was conducted at the South Sumatra Light Railroad Management Office. This research shows that the management of Light Rail Transit Transportation (LRT) as a modern mass transportation mode is still not going well, and still needs improvement in various aspects. In terms of number of passengers is still less than targeted by the government and Palembang City's Light Rail Transit (LRT) transportation ticket revenue cannot cover LRT operating costs starting from the maintenance and tendance and planning of Palembang's Light Rail Transit (LRT) transportation business strategy realized because there is no private party that has proposed cooperation in terms of advertising and advertisement outside the station or inside the station, and also there is no medium-term planning in terms of possible planning can be maximized well by the South Sumatra Light Railroad Management Office.
