Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan efisiensi dan biaya produksi industri minyak goreng di Indonesia pada tahun 2001-2005. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder selama lima tahun dari tahun 2001-2005 yang diambil dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Industri minyak goreng yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini menggunakan klasisifikasi industri yaitu ISIC-15143, ISIC-15144, dan ISIC-15145. Untuk melihat perkembangan efisiensi maupun biaya produksi digunakan teknis analisis kuantitatif. Biaya produksi terdiri dari biaya input, pengeluaran untuk tenaga kerja dan depresiasi. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa industri minyak goreng di Indonesia pada tahun 2001-2003 dalam keadaan tidak efisien karena pertumbuhan biaya produksinya terutama biaya input selalu lebih besar dari pertumbuhan nilai tambahnya. Sedangkan pada tahun 2004 dan 2005 industri minyak goreng dalam keadaan efisien. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari lebih besarnya pertumbuhan nilai tambahnya dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan biaya produksinya. Kata kunci: Efisiensi, Biaya Produksi, Biaya Input, Nilai Tambah
