Abstract

Kehilangan gigi merupakan masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang sering terjadi di masyarakat, salah satunya Edentulous yang merupakan suatu keadaan lepasnya satu atau lebih gigi dari tempatnya. Kehilangan tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh karies, penyakit periodontal, trauma dan atrisi yang berat. Penelitian yang menggunakan metode Forward Chaining ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan diagnosis Edentulous dari pasien, dan membantu asisten dokter agar dapat memberikan solusi yang terbaik untuk pasien. Sistem yang menggunakan metode Forward Chaining ini untuk mencari kaidah yang cocok dengan hipotesa yang menuju kesimpulan. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu sebesar 89% dari 100 data pasien. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun dengan metode Forward Chaining ini dapat digunakan untuk membantu asisten dokter untuk menentukan diagnosis pasien Edentulous berdasarkan Klasifikasi Kennedy.
