Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh foreign direct investment dan ekspor neto terhadap nilai tukar rupiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder periode 1990-2009 dan diuji menggunakan formula regresi berganda yaitu dengan teknik analisis Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama tahun 1990-2009, foreign direct investment dan ekspor neto menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perubahan nilai tukar rupiah. Untuk menjaga agar foreign direct investment dan devisa hasil ekspor dapat masuk dan berkembang di Indonesia, penulis menyarankan agar pemerintah hendaknya dapat menjaga kestabilan politik dan sosial, menjamin kepastian hukum serta kebijakan ekonomi yang kondusif terhadap kegiatan investasi dan bisnis di dalam negeri. Dengan masuknya Capital inflow yang berasal dari hasil ekspor dan foreign direct investment akan berdampak terapresiasinya nilai tukar rupiah terhadap mata uang asing.
