Abstract

This study was aimed at finding out the influence of tax revenue sharing and natural resources revenue sharing on the Capital expenditures. The data used in this study were secondary ones taken from the period of 2001 to 2011. The quantitative and qualitative analysis were applied to analyze the data using multiple regression in Eviews 6.0 program. The results of the analysis showed that tax revenue sharing and natural revenue sharing had a positive and significant influence on the districts’s Capital expenditures in South Sumatra. They also showed that the R2 obtained was 0.591 which meant that there was a significant influence of the independent variables on the dependent variables (59.1 %). This means that 59.1 per cent of the economic growth from 2001 to 2011 was affected by the tax revenue sharing and natural resources revenue sharing, the other remaining 40.9 percent was influenced by other factors.
