Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of parents of students towards the acceptance of new students based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 51 of 2018 at SMP Negeri 17 Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach. Respondents in this study were 96 people. The data collection techniques used were documentation and questionnaires. The instrument requirements test used were validity and reliability tests. The data analysis test used was the normality test and the homogeneity test. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the perception of parents towards the acceptance of new students in the zoning system is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 51 of 2018 at SMP Negeri 17 Palembang with the percentage obtained 81.4 in the positive category .
