Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Interest Rates, Exchange Rates, and the Output Gap on inflation in the five ASEAN countries and to see which countries have the lowest and highest inflation effect in the five ASEAN countries. The data used in this study are secondary data from 2000-2019 which obtained from Worldbank and Ceic. The analysis technique used is a panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model. The results showed that the Interest Rate, Exchange Rate and Output Gap variables together had a significant effect on inflation. Partially the Interest Rate and Exchange Rate variables have a negative and significant effect on Inflation in the five ASEAN countries. Meanwhile, the Output Gap has a positive and significant effect on Inflation in the five ASEAN countries. Based on the value of the intercept, Indonesia and the Philippines have the highest INF estimate and Singapore has the lowest INF estimate.
