Abstract
This Research was aimed at identifying (1) concentration development and production efficiency of tire industries in indonesia, and (2) correlation of the two factors. The research results show that within the period of 1998 and 2009, the efficiency level was at 7,40 meaning that this situation tended to be less efficient. The highest level occurred in 2007 at 0,83 and the lowest in 2006 at 0.15. The worst concentration level reached 0,7273. If CR4 was applied, it fell in Type II, a kind of olygopoly with the highest concentration level. A linear regression analysis showed that there a was a positive relationship between the efficiency and the concentration levels. Companies in the tire Industries in Indonesia are recommencted4fl implement a variety of strategies that support their business.
