Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) terhadap Laju Inflasi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Indonesia dengan menggunakan data sekunder dengan runtun waktu 1992-2010, yang bersumber dari Bank Indonesia dan Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal. Berdasarkan hasil estimasi, bahwa variabel Penanaman Modal Asing Langsung (FDI) dan variabel Investasi Portofolio secara bersama sama berpengaruh terhadap Laju Inflasi di Indonesia. Penanaman Modal Asing Langsung (FDI) berpengaruh positif terhadap Laju Inflasi di Indonesia selama periode penelitian. Kenaikan Penanaman Modal Asing Langsung (FDI) akan mengakibatkan peningkatan terhadap Laju Inflasi. Sedangkan Investasi portofolio berhubungan negatif terhadap Laju Inflasi di Indonesia selama periode penelitian. Kenaikan Investasi portofolio akan mengakibatkan penurunan terhadap Laju Inflasi. Kata Kunci: Penanaman Modal Asing Langsung, Investasi Portofolio, dan Laju Inflasi.
