Abstract

This study aims to find out the performance over the implementation of land and forest fire control by the village officers post in the regency of Ogan Ilir with using the Van Meter and Van Horn implementation theory concepts. Based on the implementation theory, to determine organizational performance consist of six dimensions, namely size and policy objectives, resources, characteristics of implementing agents communication between organizations and the activities of the implementers, attitudes and tendencies of the implementers, as well as the economic environment, social and political. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The result of this study showing that the performance of Sungai Rambutan village post unit is not yet maximized. On the year of 2019, there is still occurred land and forest fire. It is caused by the responsibilities of the village post unit are very heavy due to their huge field of work. Based on the result of this study recommends that in order to contrives the village post unit succeed in implementing their duty, it is best that the amount of the officer being increased, the availability of a clear standard operational procedure, also the improvement of communication and coordination between officer, instance, and related society.
