Abstract

This study was aimed at finding out the competitiveness of three eminent plantation commodities namely rubber plantation, coffee plantation, and palm oil plantation. The data were secondary ones taken from the year 2009 to 2011. This was a quantitative and qualitative study in which quantitatively the data were analyzed using the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). It was found that the three eminent plantation commodities namely rubber, coffee, and palm oil plantations were able to compete with the other same commodities in Southern Sumatera Province.
